Insolentes Take Nail-Biter Over Macabeos
|
The Fajardo Insolentes faced a tough opponent in Trujillo Alto pitcher Germán Bencosme, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Estadio Rolando Figueroa by a final score of 4-3 in 11 innings. Bencosme went 8.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. The Macabeos, at 9-30, have lost 7 in a row.
The Insolentes relied on third baseman Christian Gallais for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"We're going through a bad spell," said Trujillo Alto manager Eufemio Sinche.
