Seabridge Lifts Amarelles to 9-3 Triumph
|
Robbie Seabridge powered the Traverse City Amarelles to a win over the Sheboygan Brats. The final score was 9-3. The Traverse City designated hitter was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Fulgencio Munguía picked up the win, lifting his record to 3-3 on the season. He struck out 2 and walked 5 in 5 innings, while yielding 3 runs. Jim Jones was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 2 save opportunities.
With Traverse City leading 3-1 in the top of the third, Seabridge hit a splitter from Bill Phyle for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Amarelles ahead, 7-1.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Seabridge.
The defeat makes Sheboygan 36-27.
