The Oshawa Engines pasted the Sarnia Roughnecks with a convincing 12-2 defeat at The Motor Pool. Cole English was a prime factor in the Oshawa win. He went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs. Oshawa pitcher Darío Mendoza got the win, upping his record to 8-7. Vicente Herrera got the loss. The save went to Jasper Dadswell, his 1st this season.

With two out in the bottom of the first, Tom Josey put Oshawa in front, 3-1, with a 2-run single. The Engines went on to win the ballgame.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Josey told the Oshawa Today.

Oshawa is 30-33 and Sarnia, with the loss, 30-33.
