The Louisville Colonels picked up a win at League Park II 1894-1901, knocking off the Cincinnati Reds, 4-3. Starting pitcher Adam Dixon was a big reason why. Dixon, who is a four-time All-Star, went the distance for Louisville. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits. Louisville is now 54-44, Cincinnati 53-45.

Gus James was a prime factor in the win for the Colonels. In the top of the third with two out, the slick-fielding third baseman hit a run-scoring single. He was 2-4 with a double.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," James said.
