The skies opened up and the rain fell at Roaring Dan Seavey Stadium.

Brats left fielder José Pérez left his imprint on his team's 8-6 win over the Escanaba Wanderers. Pérez went 3 for 3 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk for Sheboygan in the contest. The winner was Ricardo Cruz, who threw 126 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 6 runs on 10 hits.

Sheboygan used the timely hitting of Harry Wolverton to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Brats on top, 8-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Wolverton.

At 43-26, Sheboygan is in first place in the Western Great Lakes Association League of Lake Michigan.
