Golondrinas Use Late Surge to Win
|
San German Golondrinas starter Nicolás Arreguín pitched his team past the Anasco Matadioses, 3-2. The defeat makes Anasco 16-26.
San German used the timely hitting of Apolonio Sánchez to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Golondrinas on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Sánchez told the San German Chronicle.
