Citadels Snag 4-3 Win

The Kingston Citadels knocked off the Sarnia Roughnecks, 4-3, in Eastern Great Lakes Association action at Evanston Fields. Kingston pitcher and Carolina, Puerto Rico, native Mateo Martínez had an outstanding performance. Martínez, who is tied for 9th in the EGLA in quality starts with 13, went the distance for Kingston. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. With the win, Kingston has a record of 32-40. Sarnia falls to 31-40.
Tommy McKelvie chipped in for Kingston, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the catcher was 1 for 2 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
