Chicken Chuckers Get Past London, 5-4
The St Catharines Chicken Chuckers, with some walk-off drama, delighted their fans at The Big Coop.

St Catharines beat London at The Big Coop, eking out a 5-4 win in 12 innings. The win was due in large part to right fielder Bill Latour. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times. The winner was St Catharines reliever Jude Soucy, now 3-1. The loser was Brian Dewolfe.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 12th, 25-year old center fielder John Kuhn had a chance to be the hero. London pitcher Brian Dewolfe wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Kuhn hit a sacrifice fly. The Chicken Chuckers had themselves a thrilling win.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Louis Lebreton, the St Catharines manager.

The Chicken Chuckers now have a mark of 33-40.
