Big Day for Macías in 11-3 Roughnecks Win
Sarnia and Oshawa took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

The Sarnia Roughnecks trumped the Oshawa Engines, 11-3, at The Derrick. Sarnia shortstop Édgar Macías was terrific. He was 3-5 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. With the victory, the Roughnecks upped their record to 37-33.

Sarnia went up, 4-3, on Richard Meyer's 15th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Meyer hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Oshawa pitcher Rich Tucker muttering to himself.

"We'll kick back a while," said Meyer, "and then get ready for the next one."
