The Escanaba Wanderers weathered a fine game by Sheboygan catcher Celino Benítez to upend the Brats, 7-4, at The Grill. Benítez went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Darío Santiago wrapped it up, recording his 10th save. Escanaba is now 36-40, while Sheboygan is 43-37.

Escanaba used the hitting of Juan Centeno to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Wanderers on top, 7-4. For the game, Centeno had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Centeno told the Escanaba Citizen. "You win just by scoring more runs."
