Hakumele Rips Buffalo for 5 Hits
Norwalk Maples first baseman Mikala Hakumele had a day to remember at Buffalo Silo, ripping apart the Buffalo Hopper Boys and sparking the 10-0 Maples win.

Hakumele wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5.

"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Hakumele told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."

Mikala Hakumele singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
