Partridges Fall, 3-2, to Bad Axe
|
Bad Axe turned a good performance from starting pitcher Alberto Muñoz into a 3-2 triumph over the Alpena Partridges at The Traffic Jam. The Stoplights, at 41-49, sit in 4th place in the Western Great Lakes Association League of Lake Huron.
Dallas Frost had a big 2-run double for the Stoplights in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Bad Axe leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from 31-year old left-handed pitcher Uranio Avitia and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stoplights ahead, 3-0.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Frost told the Bad Axe Chronicle. "But we take nothing for granted."
