Salazar Leads Stone Skippers to Win
Wet weather did not postpone the Mackinac Island-Bad Axe ballgame.

Mackinac Island right fielder Édgar Salazar made his presence felt in the 9-7 Stone Skippers triumph over the Bad Axe Stoplights. Salazar was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Tito Hernández notched his 6th save of the season.

In the first inning, Salazar had a grand slam home run for Mackinac Island. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Stone Skippers on top, 4-0.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Salazar.

With the win over Bad Axe, the Stone Skippers improved to 42-48.
