Half Moons 5-2 Winners Versus Irondequoit
The Utica Half Moons and Irondequoit Peach Kings completed their game despite the inclement weather.

Utica pitcher Carlos Sosa did his part in helping his team defeat the Irondequoit Peach Kings, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The Half Moons now have a record of 45-47.

Utica used a well-timed hit by Pedro Valero to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Half Moons ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

Valero told a Utica News reporter that he was "very happy" with the win.
