Big Day for McIntyre in 12-5 Joes Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the Bad Axe Stoplights and Saginaw Joes get after it.

The Saginaw Joes defeated the Bad Axe Stoplights, 12-5. Catcher Keith McIntyre deserved a large share of the credit. McIntyre was 3-3 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for the Joes. Joël Coutant got the win, improving to 12-7. He worked 8 innings, giving up 5 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1.

The Joes got a big hit from right fielder Jorge Alanis. In the bottom of the sixth, Alanis smacked a 2-run double off Bad Axe pitcher Beany Jacobson. It was his 8th double of the season. Suddenly, the Joes were ahead, 6-5.

"Feels good to get the job done," Alanis said after the game.

The defeat makes Bad Axe 41-52.
