The Escanaba Wanderers and Holland Tulips completed their game despite the inclement weather.
Though he had a terrific game, Héctor Brizuela could not prevent his team, the Holland Tulips, from absorbing a loss. Escanaba won the game, 5-2. Brizuela went 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Wanderers now own a record of 37-60.
Escanaba used the bat of Juan Meza to get the win. The left fielder spanked a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Wanderers ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it altered the outcome.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Meza told the Escanaba Observer.
