Saginaw Tags Mackinac Island with 10-2 Defeat
The Saginaw Joes beat the Mackinac Island Stone Skippers, 10-2. Saginaw pitcher and Ashland, California, native Jack Stivetts led the way. The loss makes Mackinac Island 62-45.

With Saginaw leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Stivetts hit a curveball from Ed Walsh for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Joes ahead, 5-1.

"Jack did a good job of shutting their lineup down," said Saginaw manager Miguel Chagoya.
