The Alpena Partridges had to overcome a good performance from Saginaw pitcher Pedro Olave to claim a 3-1 win at Old Growth Forest. Olave went 9 innings and allowed 3 runs. Alpena is now 52-55, Saginaw 68-38.

Álvaro Acevedo had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. With the bases empty, he hit a double. It helped send Alpena to the win.

"Every loss hurts," said Saginaw manager Miguel Chagoya. "But this was a tough one."
