Partridges Take Nail-Biter Over Sugar Beets
The Alpena Partridges picked up a win at Birds' Nest of Alpena, dropping the Bay City Sugar Beets, 4-3, in 11 innings. Rafael González was the difference-maker. The loss makes Bay City 42-68.

Batting in the bottom of the 11th, 30-year old first baseman Jacob Ryan had a real shot to win the game. Bay City pitcher Pablo Torres was determined not to let it happen. But with one out, Ryan hit a run-scoring single. The Partridges had a walk-off triumph.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Ryan said in his postgame press conference.
