The Rochester Lilac Stockings eked out a 3-2 win versus the Irondequoit Peach Kings at Perennial Blooming Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Josh Mecke. He was terrific. Rochester now sports a record of 43-67.

Had Luis Martínez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Martínez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Lilac Stockings.

Mecke attributed the triumph to "a good team effort."
