Telegrafistas Claim 4-3 Triumph
The Arroyo Telegrafistas picked up a win at Coliseo Emeterio García, dropping the Vega Alta Martilleros, 4-3. José Peralta, who finished 5th in the LB in strikeouts with 389 in 1905, was the difference-maker. Peralta yielded 3 runs over 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 4, and struck out 1. His record improves to 4-4. Earning his 7th save of the year was Pablo Ponce.

The Telegrafistas got a big hit from second baseman Fernando Landeros. Facing Vega Alta pitcher Rodrigo Pérez in the top of the sixth, Landeros pounded a run-scoring triple to left-center. His 8th triple of the season put the Telegrafistas ahead, 4-1.

"We put it together and came out with the win," Landeros said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

Arroyo now has a record of 24-23 with the win.
