Syracuse beat Rochester at Perennial Blooming Park, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to right fielder Isaías Fuentes. He went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. The losses continue to mount for Rochester, which has now dropped 8 in a row.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Bill Shore? The 20-year old third baseman Shore stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Syracuse up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said Rochester manager Adelio González.
