Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Bouncy House.

Though he had a stellar game, Pete Hill could not prevent his team, the Mackinac Island Stone Skippers, from losing, 8-5, to the Bay City Sugar Beets. Hill went 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winner in relief was Alan Baxter. He is now 1-3. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1.2 innings.

Bay City used a timely hit from Sebastián Cantú to get the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the top of the 15th inning to put the Sugar Beets ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"From the last whatever, five, six, seven games, there's really only one way to go and that's up," said losing manager Ron Horne.

With the victory, the Sugar Beets record stands at 46-71.
