Smith Shuts Out Oshawa, 4-0
|
Norm Smith of the Kingston Citadels was cool and collected on the mound, leading his club to a shutout victory over the Oshawa Engines, 4-0.
"He was mixing his pitches real well and keeping his composure on the mound," Kingston manager Rigoberto Ruvalcaba said later. "When Norm does that, good things happen."
The right-hander had 3 strikeouts, 3 walks and allowed 4 hits in the win.
Smith has made 27 starts so far this year and put up a 11-14 won-lost record with a 3.04 ERA. In 222.1 innings he has allowed 215 hits, walked 67 and struck out 82.
