Partridges Pull Out Late Win, 7-6
Good production from left fielder Frank Schulte helped the Alpena Partridges topple the Bay City Sugar Beets, 7-6. Schulte went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Partridges. Armando Posada earned the save, his 5th in 5 tries. The Partridges are now 63-59.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Schulte delivered big-time for Alpena, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Pablo Torres. The game-changing hit put the Partridges on top, 7-6.

"They beat us fair and square," Bay City skipper Marco Reyes said.
