Wanderers Winners, 7-2, at Sunlit Garden

Conditions were not ideal but Escanaba and Holland were able to put their game in the books.
Escanaba registered a win at Sunlit Garden by beating the Holland Tulips, 7-2. Pitcher Víctor Manuel Enríquez was one reason why the Wanderers triumphed. Enríquez, who is tied for 10th in the WGLA in wins with 15, went the distance for Escanaba. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits.
Escanaba won the game in part because of Edward Fisher. The third baseman ripped a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Wanderers ahead, 5-0. For the game, Fisher had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
"We scored more than enough runs this time," said Escanaba manager . "Now watch. The next game we'll probably struggle to get a base hit."
The Wanderers improved their record to 48-74 by beating Holland.
