Partridges Handle Bay City, Snag 2-0 Win
The Bay City Sugar Beets got a superb performance from pitcher Édgar Martínez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Alpena. The Partridges won the game, 2-0. Martínez threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball. Alpena reliever Baltasar Manrique was the winner. His record is now 3-0. The losing pitcher was Édgar Martínez. Alpena is now 56-69.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Partridges had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when third baseman Claudio Gutiérrez hit a run-scoring single.
