Good production from second baseman Luis Díaz helped the Saginaw Joes topple the Bay City Sugar Beets, 11-5. Díaz went 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for the Joes. The win makes Saginaw 79-43.

With Saginaw leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Díaz hit a slider from Jose Fernandez for a 3-run home run. It was his 26th home run of the season and put the Joes ahead, 5-0.

"It was a solid team effort," said Díaz after the game.
