The Alpena Partridges rode a solid performance from 35-year-old starting pitcher Amadeo Jiménez to a win, beating the Bad Axe Stoplights, 4-1, at Birds' Nest of Alpena. Alpena sits in third place in the Western Great Lakes Association League of Lake Huron at 66-62.

Jiménez was in the zone all game. He frustrated Bad Axe hitters while giving the Partridges 9 innings of quality work. Jiménez threw 109 pitches, allowing 6 hits and getting 7 punchouts.
