Fading Rapids Lose 6th Straight
In the 6-5 Duluth win over Sault St. Marie, the impact of Daryl Beveridge was substantial. Beveridge went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Gabriel Pérez earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record is now 4-2. With the win, Duluth upped its record to 69-60.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Duluth trailing 5-4, Beveridge hit a fastball from Arnulfo Vázquez for a 2-run home run, giving the Zeniths the walk-off win.
