Carolina beat Barceloneta on the strength of starting pitcher Mike Lowry's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 6-2. The winner was Lowry. He threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Adolfo Ureña. Carolina is 25-27 and Barceloneta, with the loss, 34-15.
The Tumbabrazos got a big hit from second baseman René Espinosa. Facing Barceloneta pitcher Adolfo Ureña in the bottom of the sixth, Espinosa pounded a run-scoring triple to center. His 3rd triple of the season put the Tumbabrazos ahead, 2-0.
