Macabeos Suffer One-Run Loss at Manati
|
Manati picked up a win at Recinto Atlético Fabián Villarreal, bumping off the Trujillo Alto Macabeos, 5-4. Pitcher Gerardo Rodríguez was a major reason the Acropolitanos emerged victorious. Rodríguez, now 5-9, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 11 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing 4 runs. The Acropolitanos win now puts them at 23-28.
Manati went up, 5-4, on Etaoin Shrdlu's 7th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Shrdlu hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Trujillo Alto pitcher Pedro Real feeling irked.
"Felt great, felt really good," said Rodríguez.
