Wunderkinder Use Late Rally to Win
The Salzburg Wunderkinder beat the Rijeka Torpeda, 11-9, at Jadransko Stadion. Salzburg left fielder Patrick Stoeckl had the hot bat. He went 1 for 2 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Salzburg reliever Florian Ortleib picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Dimitrije Djokovic was saddled with the loss. Werner Metternich got the save, the 3rd for him this season.

Salzburg used a clutch hit from Armin Keurorst to snatch the win. The pinch hitter belted a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Wunderkinder ahead, 11-9. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Wunderkinder manager Zacarías Medina. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

The 6th-place Wunderkinder have won 4 in a row.
