The Naranjito Brillantes besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Guanica second baseman Sern Larsen by beating the Amigos, 8-6, at Estadio Gilberto Martínez. Larsen was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. Telégono Soto earned the win for Naranjito. He lasted 7.1 innings, allowing 5 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 2. With the win, he raised his record to 7-4. The first-place Amigos now sit at 39-12.

Naranjito used a well-timed hit by Adelino Vásquez to capture the win. The right fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Brillantes ahead, 5-3. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Báquides Zamora.
