The Verona Neoterici got a brilliant performance from pitcher Ambrosi Polo, who shut out the Munich Schaeffler, 1-0. The winning pitcher was Polo, now 15-8. He tossed 10 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 10. Verona's record now stands at 57-44, placing them first in the Allgemeine Teilung.
Verona got a knockout punch from Marcio Savoldelli. The catcher hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
