Isabela Takes Serie Preliminar Game 1, García Stars
The Isabela Quesiteros powered past the visiting Rincon Ingenieros, 5-4, in the opener of the Serie Preliminar at Estadio Municipal de Isabela. Isabela starting pitcher Rafael García threw 9.0 innings of 4-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Quesiteros now lead the series 1-0.

Corcoran Howell came through for Isabela when he hit a 2-run single in the bottom of the sixth. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a two-strike curveball to right-center field, staking his team to a 5-3 lead.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Howell.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Estadio Municipal de Isabela in Isabela.
