Stadion Praha was the site of quite a ballgame.

Salzburg third baseman Joseph Lictenegger had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 9-5, to Praha at Stadion Praha. Lictenegger was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The winner was Praha reliever Ota Vacek, now 6-2. The loser was Benni Friedjung.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Benedikt Danyi in the bottom of the ninth. That's when he hit a grand slam home run off 21-year old left-handed pitcher Werner Metternich to win it for Praha and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

Danyi said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."

Praha, at 57-63, occupies 5th place in the Allgemeine Teilung.
