Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Hakuchoh
The Niigata Hakuchoh got a rain-soaked win over the Sabae Megane-ten.

Niigata first baseman Billy Hulen contributed significantly to his team's 5-2 win over the Sabae Megane-ten. Hulen went 1 for 1 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Hakuchoh. The winner was Niigata reliever Mateo Giménez, now 5-0. The loser was Takenao Fukomori.

It could have been a different outcome for Niigata, had it not been for Al Bridwell, the 25-year old shortstop . Bridwell contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Niigata up, 3-2.

"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Bridwell.

Niigata is second in the Northern League with a record of 71-53.
