The Aomori Hotaru got a rain-soaked win over the Niigata Hakuchoh.

The Aomori Hotaru locked up a win at Hakuchoh Park, knocking off the Niigata Hakuchoh, 4-2. On the mound for Aomori was left-hander Melquíades Nazario. He played a major role in the triumph. Josh Shields closed it out for his 6th save.

Gavvy Cravath, who is tied for 7th in the NL in home runs with 4, had a direct impact on the outcome. Cravath contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Aomori up, 3-1.

"We put together a nice win," Cravath said.

The first-place Hotaru sport a record of 74-50.
