2-0 Mammoths Win Evens Series With Finos
|
The Waco Mammoths and the El Paso Finos will take the Interdivisional Series to a decisive 5th game. Facing a must-win situation, the Mammoths shut out the Finos, 2-0, at Finos Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Waco left-hander Juan Medina did his part. He threw 9.0 innings of shutout ball.
Medina gave Waco an exquisite performance. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 9 innings.
"Teams don't get here by being incompetent, so I really wasn't expecting this," Medina said. "I just kept throwing and they kept missing."
Game 5 is scheduled for Monday at Mammoths Field in Waco.
