Sudbury Tops Trois-Rivieres Again, 3-0
|
The Sudbury Meteors got an exceptional performance from starter Jesús Castellón, who silenced the Trois-Rivieres offense en route to a 3-0 shutout win in Game 2 of the National Championship of Canada. The Trifluviens could never get a bead on the left-handed Castellón, who threw 8.2 innings of shutout ball. The Meteors now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.
Castellón allowed no runs over 8.2 innings. He also racked up 7 strikeouts.
"I like what I saw today," said Sudbury manager Jesús Vásquez, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 28th , 1913 at Ballpark of Trois-Rivieres in Trois-Rivières.
