Todd Excels, Syracuse Wins Interleague Series Game 1
The Syracuse Halites started the Interleague Series in style, downing the visiting St Catharines Chicken Chuckers at Salt City Park by a score of 9-2 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Halites third baseman Cameron Todd slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 6.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Todd hit a grand slam home run off Seth Braden. It propelled the Halites into the lead, 4-0.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Todd.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Salt City Park in Syracuse.
