Road Win Lifts Arroyo to 1-0 Lead in SP
The Arroyo Telegrafistas powered past the hometown Naguabo Navegadores, 4-2, in the opener of the Serie Preliminar at La Timonera. Arroyo starting pitcher Alcides Camacho threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Telegrafistas now lead the series 1-0.

Ramón Medina had a direct impact on the outcome. Medina contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Arroyo up, 3-2.

"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Arroyo manager Leovigildo Medina told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at La Timonera in Naguabo.
