Santa Isabel Carves Out 6-5 Win
The Santa Isabel Corceles faced a tough opponent in San Juan pitcher Víctor Hugo Morales, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Estadio Nuevo de Santa Isabel by a final score of 6-5. Morales went 6.1 innings and allowed 4 runs. Jorge Suárez was the winner. He's now 2-0. The loser was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Quinto Montoya. The win puts Santa Isabel at 4-4.

Pierre Bonhomme hit a 2-run triple off Quinto Montoya in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Corceles in front, 6-5. In addition to the triple, Bonhomme had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Bonhomme, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
