In leading Perth to a crucial 4-1 victory over the London Fog at Perth Fields, the Perth starter rose to the occasion, tossing 9 good innings. Baxter threw 9.0 innings of 5-hit ball as the Caber Tossers defended their home field to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 Crown of the Four Flowers.

London had little success against Baxter and his splitter. Baxter tossed 123 pitches over 9 innings for the Caber Tossers.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Baxter. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
