Win Goes to Cotorras in Tight Contest
The Cotorras earned a hard-fought, 6-5 win in 12 innings at Estadio Víctor Nieves. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Camuy pitcher Emil Seidel. Seidel went 10 innings and allowed 5 runs. Rio Grande reliever Hansel Portuondo was the winner. His record is now 3-4. Sabino Ávila took the loss. Rio Grande bumps their record to 37-23 with the win.

Rio Grande used the timely hitting of Rob McCarthy to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Cotorras on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Camuy manager Luis Rangel. "The effort was great."
