With shortstop Zacarías Martínez leading the charge, the Rio Grande Cotorras got a road win over the Patillas Cuervos, 6-4, in Game 2 of the Serie Eliminatoria. Martínez was 4 for 4 with a triple, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times at Campo Atletico de San Benito to help Rio Grande force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

Martínez had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth to put Rio Grande in front, 4-2. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single off Patillas pitcher Zenón Alvarado.
