Las Marias beat Arroyo on the strength of starting pitcher Rafael Martínez's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. The second-place Citricos improved to 35-30.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Citricos had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when catcher Solón de la Vega hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Judá García and made the score 3-1, Citricos. de la Vega went 2 for 3 with a double.

de la Vega attributed the win to his team's "determination."
