|
Guanica right fielder Moisés del Campo was a significant contributor in his team's 7-4 triumph over the Naranjito Brillantes. He was 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Amigos. The winning pitcher was Héctor Delgado. He's now 2-1. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits for the Amigos. The save went to Miguel Valles, his 1st this season.
Guanica used the timely hitting of Zenón Martínez to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Amigos ahead, 4-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," del Campo told the Guanica Bulletin.
