The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.

Cleto Jiménez, who is tied for 2nd in the LB in innings pitched with 174.0, was terrific for the Cidra Palomas in his team's 1-0 triumph over the Rio Grande Cotorras. His performance earned Jiménez rave reviews. Cidra is now 51-26. Rio Grande is 44-31.

Jiménez, the Cidra right-hander, went 8.2 innings, allowing no runs on 4 hits. He collected 5 strikeouts.

"Cleto -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Palomas manager Wilson Álvarez. "He was the key to us winning."
