Jayuya Carves Out 5-4 Win
The Jayuya Cerros did just enough to sneak past the Mayaguez Capitanes, 5-4, at Coliseo Álvaro Santana. Jayuya pitcher Isidoro Núñez, in particular, had a standout performance. Jayuya pitcher Fernando Serafín got the win. He's now 1-0. Ronit Robinson was tagged with the loss. Jayuya now has a record of 3-7.

Luis Álvarez was the walk-off hero for Jayuya. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cerros designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"That was a good game -- all the way through," said Álvarez.
